My artistic practice centers on capturing the evolving landscape of Abu Dhabi through photography, offering a space to reflect on the concept of change. My Mina Series explores the transformation of Mina Port, once a bustling hub for trading fish, vegetables, and plants, now facing modernization. As a child, Mina Port was a cherished place, filled with memories of picking vegetables with my mother and buying toys at ToyRus. Change is an inevitable passage of time, urging us to pause and appreciate the places around us before they transform. Through my photography, I aim to immortalize the port's current state, preserving its unique character before it fades into the modern cityscape. This series pays homage to Mina as it stands today while contemplating the uncertainties of its future. My goal is to capture the essence of the port before it merges into Abu Dhabi’s rapidly shifting landscape.
